Okay, truth is: those words aren't mine :)
My tip where fruit is concerned has always been: Eat the fruit, rather than drink it. At least you'll feel a 'little' satiated.
Otherwise, you're just consuming empty calories. I often find that people who are trying to look after their weight, regularly chug down fruit juice. When I ask why. The answer is usually along the lines of: "Isn't it supposed to be good for you?"
But of course it is – extremely so!
But doing something healthy if it means adding surplus calories which you're not burning... Well, that's just my point.
While fruit juice tastes great and provides your body with an abundance of beneficial nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants, it does not help you to lose weight.
On the other hand – by actually eating the whole fruit, you at least get the benefit of the fiber in it too – which will contribute somewhat towards giving you a sense of satiety.
If you're maintaining your 'ideal' body weight while already drinking fruit juice, then great. You're successfully factoring those calories into your eating plan.
However, if you're trying to lose weight (body fat), then fruit juice is one of the first things that should get its marching orders. (For now.) You can always re-introduce it later, when you've reached your fitness goal, and maintaining that condition.
